Re: Has someone found a way of using OSX for mass mailings at last?

Your address was spoofed. It's very common. We got seriously flooded for
a couple of days last week with hundreds of rejected messages an hour
arriving at our mail-server. Not much fun.

The most annoying thing is that the alleged originating address doesn't
exist, I'd really like the server to just drop fake bounces/rejects,
it'd save me a lot of bother.

I occasionally get a bounce flood - although more like a few hundred a
day at worst.

I /really/ love SpamSieve at times like that. Every once in a while,
someone comes up with such a new angle for spam that SpamSieve misses
the first example. Train it on one message, job done - at least, with
my SpamSieve corpus in its current state.

Out of the last 36325 emails I've received, 25 were falsely identified
as spam when they weren't really spam. That's about one false positive
per 1500 emails received and the rate falls continuously the longer I
use SpamSieve.

Okay, more for the end user than the server maestro, but still...

Rowland.
