I've now failed to burn with Toast, DVD2One and iDVD. The above is the
Toast error message.

I've not used TDK disks for years, because they didn't like my Sony
burner back then (or vv, rather). The error message means that the
initial sync'n'test between the writer and the disk came back with an
error, so I assume that your drive doesn't like those disks either.

Fortunately the media are dirt cheap these days, and you may be able
to trade the remainder with someone else who they will work for.
