If the screen starts going a few minutes later - logic board. If it
doesn't it still could be the logic board. Could also be the AP/BT card
(try running without), or the HD.
Just a thought...

the problem is hardware related ?

I.e. if there is a problem with hardware then would it freeze when
booted from disk ? If a system problem it should run ok from disk? -

Probably not. I've seen dead HDs stop systems from booting from CD as it
frigs up the whole bus. Usually I pull the HD and boot it up from an
external drive or other ppc mac to completely elimate it.
