I have changed the RAM chip and reseated the Airport card, and the
battery is pretty new.
Do you think it is a hardware problem - if so what are the likely
suspects to check out ?
doesn't it still could be the logic board. Could also be the AP/BT card
(try running without), or the HD.
Would booting from the startup/install DVD be informative as to whether
the problem is hardware related ?
I.e. if there is a problem with hardware then would it freeze when
booted from disk ? If a system problem it should run ok from disk? -
frigs up the whole bus. Usually I pull the HD and boot it up from an
external drive or other ppc mac to completely elimate it.
