Hi All,
The Mrs has asked me if I can put a show I recorded on the Topfield
5800 PVR recently onto something for her workmate to watch at home,
either on a std DVD > TV or his Mac. He can't watch it via iPlayer as
he doesn't have broadband (although I assume I could download it here
(PC or Mac) and put that on a DVD but never done that yet either,
assuming you can etc).
So, I've connected the Mini to the Toppy and am currently transferring
the prog (1.5G) to the Mac and have an external DVD writer available.
Whoops, sorry about that last posting - hit the send btn by mistake.
Anyway, I use "MPEG Streamclip" to pull the recording to the Mac. Then
in StreamClip I top & tail, strip any adverts etc, then export to MP2.
Then I drag it into Toast and burn, I guess iDVD would at a pinch,
though I have a sneaky feeling it'll want to re-encode it.
I hardly bother with DVDs these days, I simply export to iPhone format
from StreamClip and catch up while I'm on the train.
