Just had a play with a mates new shiney iPhone 3G.
First chance I've had for a play.
Seems a lot of fun, except for the Maps thingy reckoning I'm not in my
office, but 200 metres away apparently standing on a train line :)
Undeterred by the potential disruption to be caused by the imminent
arrival of the 10:34 from St. Pancras, I ploughed on regardless, and
one thing I really struggled with was using the virtual keyboard.
I don't exactly have bananas for fingers, but really struggled to hit
the right keys, and so typing anything of length was painfully slow.
I love the idea of a qwerty keyboard on a(n i)phone, but it just didn't
seem to be working for me. Perhaps I need to practice more?
So how do you experienced iPhone users cope?
Cheers,
Marlon
I hated the keyboard with a passion. You need to watch the video on apple..com
which shows you how it works. Even if you type in garbage (by missing the
keys), 95% of the time it picks the correct word.- Hide quoted text -

pet hate: autocorrecting .uk at the end of email addresses to "I'm".
Grr. Am hoping that continued use of it will automatically pickup
that I don't want to do this...
