Anyone seen this before?
In coverflow mode all artwork is present and correct, however as of
the other week when an individual track's playing, it just displays
the generic album art musical note symbol.  I've rebooted the phone,
to no avail.
Any suggestions?

If you drop an image onto the Coverflow view of iTunes, it will only
populate the first track with that image (unlike with the semi-automated
"Get Album Artwork" feature of iTunes, which populates all tracks).

Check in iTunes whether the first track has artwork, and then whether
the subsequent tracks have artwork. To do it 'right', you need to select
all tracks in the album before dropping the image on there.

I found this out myself a couple of weeks ago, after getting the same
problem. Gods know why one method works for whole albums and the other
for individual tracks.

That's the annoying thing - in iTunes, all are correctly tagged with
artwork - all is fine on the Mac side.
Looking at it futher, a lot of the coverflow pics are plain wrong, too
- i.e. wrong artwork on wrong album.
Something amiss with this on the phone side - I've unsynced to wipe
the iphone then resynched, waiting to see what that does.
Found a few similar posts on the Apple forums, but no real answers.  I
don't know, but this might be related to the iTunes 8 update - it was
definitely OK the other day.
<edit - have searched for ""itunes 8" artwork bug" and found *lots* of
similar problems.  Hmph.

interesting- some of the artwork on my iphone is associated with the wrong
tracks.. glad I'm not the only one.- Hide quoted text -

hmm. i noticed a few incorrect album art pics initially and thought
i'd tagged them wrongly. however, it got worse and worse and
eventually didn't display any art work at all in portrait, and semi-
random art in coverflow.
telling itunes to not sync any playlists, syncing and wiping, then
resynching the playlist appears to have corrected it for now, though.

PS - anyone else noticed the ipod app shows song lyrics if you tap on
the artwork "now playing"? i'm not sure if this is via GimmeSomeTune
which I installed ages ago to get artwork for songs that lack it when
I play them, but however it happened it's quite cool..!
