I'm just switching my (Nokia) mobile phone and would rather not lose all
the
words I've added to the SMS dictionary over the last few years.

Is there an OSX app which will allow me to EITHER extract the dictionary
from
a phone OR manually update it on the new phone?

I really don't want to go through the interminable process of teaching the
new phone all my words again!

I've never even heard of a method of extracting that data from the
phone in the first place.

But what model is it, and what OS is it running?

It's a Nokia 6300. Don't think it *has* an OS, it's just a Nokia phone :-)

Bzzzt! It runs Series 40. :)

As for the question, I agree with Jamie; it's very unlikely you'll be
able to extract that data from one phone and migrate it to another -
even if they're both Nokias they will probably deal with that info in
different ways.

Blimey, I'm genuinely surprised that there isn't a way to export/import these
things. It doesn't seem like an unreasonable thing to do given how often
people seem to change their phones
