Shooting raw+jpeg has added around 3.3MB to each image I have shot and
doesn't seem to do anything in Aperture, if you turn on tool tips the
file is not included in the file size given so it's not readily
apparent they are there. As far as I can see these can all be deleted
from within the library along with the related *.apfile with no
problems.
Hope this may be useful to other Aperture users.
I never shot jpg + RAW, always RAW, so I can't comment on that part,
but chucking out Aperture's previews will turn some bits of it into a
slug.
Hit P before high speed rummaging in the browser with and without
previews to see what I mean. (Aperture 2.1.1)
