Spoke to someone in my local O2 store this morning regarding the
debacle, and was told anyone who hasn't gone through the online process
could upgrade in store starting on Friday. Had no idea about availablity
of size or colour (surprise, surprise).
Will have to wait ans see if this is so, has anyone tried to upgrade
using the free number for iPhone support ?

Just spoke to O2 call centre, can only be upgraded throught the website
or in store. The only colour available at launch is black. Confirmed new
PAYG iPhones would not be available until xmas.

I was just told I could only upgrade online ! it gets worse.

You can only upgrade *in advance* and have it shipped to arrive on the
11th, online.

Except of course you can't. I've been trying all morning.
I've now had two numbers texted to me that I can't enter anywhere and
filled in the credit card frm about 8 times just to be told the
submission has failed.

I'm very, very peeved.
