Business is slightly different from home use. If your computers are built to
a script/image with no user data stored locally, and therefore simple to
rebuild, the moment it takes less time to trigger that rebuild than to
investigate and apply a fix, it becomes very tempting to just do the
rebuild. We take this approach with our Windows _and_ Mac machines at work.

Indeed. I suspect many business machines will have server based storage,
so reinstalling is an easy option. Most home machines are going to be
storing every file that user has, so a reinstall just isn't so easy.

Even looking at backup solutions isn't pleasant - we moan about Time
Machine, and its bugs, but at least we have something at all.
