Final movie was 280 Mb as an MP4, but SnapzPro used 12Gb to store it
while downloading.
And how long was the playing time on that one?
One hour and 45 min. Only 397 x 217 pixels though (the odd size is
probably because that just happened to be the capture rectangle which I
set). It was the Watersons tribute concert from the BBC Electric Proms
series which was not broadcast in its entirety, but was available as a
streaming video.
You can also use it to transcode awkward video formats (e.g. thoseI've not had too much of a problem with that, there's usually a solution
which you can play but not edit) into something more tractable.

Some movies only play in VLC. While VLC promises to do transcoding, in
practice it never seems to work.
I have had problems with VLC recently so I upgraded to the latest
version earlier this week. Haven't had any problems so far but I've only
used it the once..
VLC is a superb player, but its UI is so strange that if I try to do
something different, and it doesn't work, I'm never quite sure whether
it's the program that's at fault or whether it's just me doing the
wrong thing.
