Can't say I have ever looked at that.
I did. How else is one to learn how to use software?
As previously discussed, we have different needs for software. My needs don't involve needing a manual for all but the most complex software (such as logic - which luckily comes with several large paper manuals).
The UI is a bit of a mess. I think it is a copy on most things that have
gone before back to soundedit with some things added for less than clear
reasons.
The way that it seems impossible to select a section of track for
editing other than `purely GUI with the mouse' is one of the biggest
defects if you ask me - makes it useless for anything but very simple
jobs when no other audio editor is available.
It is a pain as you have to zoom right in to get a zero crossing point and then zoom out and in again to find the other end.
It can be done but it is a faff.
And I couldn't find anything else,
Oh there are a few others - amadeus II by hariersoft springs to mind

I have no trouble with beta stuff on OSX, it is generally resiliant enough
to cope.
Yes, but you've got different standards to me for that sort of thing.
I've got something less than no tolerance for dodgy software.
As long as it can do what I need it to do without messing up, I have no problem.
Some peoples betas are more stable than some peoples release, and that isn't restricted to freeware/shareware/commercial catagories
Allegedly fully developed payware is often bug-riddled to the extent
that it screws things up badly here (Panther/Tiger/Leopard Cache Cleaner
is one of the nastiest I've met in that line and the author changed my
mind about the sense of paying for shareware.
Never bothered trying any of those sort of things, so have been saved that.
