OSX and Scanners

Hello All once again,

I have got a Canon N670u scanner and I am trying somewhat unsuccessfully to
connect it to my Macbook.

I assume there is no plug and play as such with these things as at no point
did it even say that it saw something connected.

I have downloaded the Native driver from Canon but this did not seem to
really do too much and the system still cannot see the scanner.

I assume that the Image Catcher program is the right one for the job?

Anyway - has anyone got any experiance of this scanner and can help out?
