I'm interested in seeing whether people have taken to Spaces or not. Are
you still using it after the flashiness has worn off, and how do you use
it?
I played with lots of spaces assigned to groups of related
applications, and decided it was too much hassle on my two screen pro.
I turned it off entirely there. Cmd-tab and cmd-opt-h satisfied my need
for tidiness well enough.

If you are using it:

1. How many spaces do you have?
.....But on the 12" Powerbook 2 spaces is nice. Screen estate is
precious there. I ctrl-arrow to the 'blanker' one before starting
something else. Then cmd-tab does a nice little Texas two step. It is
no big deal, but it is pleasant.
I changed the default 'expose' keys (see all the spaces at once) to
something harder to type by accident, and I like the shift-drag game
for moving all the windows of a selected app to the other space. But I
honestly use that less and less as I get used to starting on the best
space.
2. How do you organise them? Do you tend to use them as ways to organise
applications or workflows? What I mean is, do you have one space where
your web browser sits, and one where your newsreader sits, and one where
your mail sits, OR do you have a space with a web browser, image editor
and text editor for building websites, and another with a web browser
(say with Facebook open), your email and your IM as a 'keeping up with
friends' space?

3. How do you switch between spaces? Ctrl-number, ctrl-arrows, F8, or
something else?
ctrl-arrow
4. Have you added any hacks - like the 'different desktops per space'
app - to make things better?
nope.
If you don't use it:
I found a few apps a bit buggy with it. Word Windows went missing for
example.

Summary: Spaces is OK in moderation.
