Is there some way to persuade Pages to save a document in the same

can I have Pages keep saving it as RTF, instead of having to choose
Export?

If you're just needing the facilities of saving to rtf, why not just use
TextEdit?

Secondly, is there some way to save RTF documents form Pages as ,rtf?
Pages insists on using .rtfd.

Not had to do that myself, I just use Pages to make Pages documents.
