Anyone know where I can find a comprehensive list of media formats that
will play in Adobe reader 8? Adobe's documentation is frankly useless.
I've got a wmv file that I want to play in a PDF presentation but as
it uses Flip4Mac WMV player rather than just quicktime it rejects it.
But At the same time it also rejects an mpeg file when adobe state that
this will work! I've also noticed that now when you import a WMV file
into imovie it plasters a "Created with Flip4Mac Trial" message across
it. Thanks for that... Any recommendations for something to turn it
into a useable format? AVI wrapped files seem to work.
On what machine? Acrobat reader will hold a variety of media formats (in
fact it will take loads) but it is up to your machine to render it, so
obviously what formats play on yours won't necessarily play on mine.
Find what platform you want the video on, and what formats they use and use
that.
