The *impression* I get[0] is that you're a _little_ too keen to play the
'Windows does this better' or 'a £250 PC can do this, why can't a £800 Mac?'
card. It's just an impression, and I can't cite examples directly, but the
impression is there, for me at least. And the problem is it starts to get
quite wearing.

Might just be me though. There are certain threads that I just skip through
and pick up the highlights, and the problem with highlights is that they're
not always indicative of average content.

No Jim lad it's not just you. That's my impression too. The point for
T i m to appreciate is that, in *this* NG, such comparisons are
irrelevant and generally unwanted. Just slipping them in in the way you
do just gets on everyone's wick, eventually.

Ok, straight question just for you Tim.

Here is my entire first reply to *Ian* ... (someone I believe I have
an 'understanding' (I'm not saying he likes me or everything I say
etc).

Just been searching on ebay - they seem to be £70 plus, in my case for
a 350Mhz G3 iMac, a £14 adapter. That's considerably more than the
computer itself is worth. Is this right, or are there cheaper places?

I did the Belkin Bridge / Game adaptor thing on Dad's eMac and it
seems to be pretty stable.

A 10 quid 802.11g PCI card would have been easier and cheaper of

So, does that fit your scenario above?

Anything that happens after that is normally as a direct result of
someone who doesn't like me, what I like or what I say (or all the
above) deciding to jump in and start making exaggerated assumptions re
what I 'meant' etc.
