It's potentially useful, even when it's bad - provided that you've got
the wit to stand back and look at yourself. Depression is a right sod.
You've got to sort out the inside of your own head. Self-knowledge is
where that starts. You can get that by reading your own posts and
seeing what a complete arse you are.
And yes I do mean me.
Presumably our visitors are just a temporary nuisance, and will move on
to some other newsgroup for their cross-posting forays in time.
upsd goes through phases, good and bad. The problem is that the place
is full of loonies, and you can't expect somewhere full of loonies which
is also open to anyone to run smoothly, can you now?
For the last N months, it's been suffering from trolls who have been
stalking Sarah for quite a long time.
I've been trying to draw their fire a bit. Not sure it's working as
well as it might. On the other hand, the more they have a go at me, the
less they'll be having a go at anyone else, and I at least don't get
bothered by 'em.
They've got to give up eventually.
