Indeed it would probably take it from 100 quid to 10 quid.


It *is* a bit of a faff (at least, if you swap just the LCD & not the
surround). I bought a 1.25Ghz/G4 iBook from the US with a dead(ish) screen &
swapped in the LCD from my 500Mhz iBook (putting the dead(ish) screen back
into the 500). Bit of a pain, but for about £250 all-in, not too bad.
