replace it with a MacBook (forgot that name when I first posted) so it
has 11b Airport card and I replaced the original HD with a 30GB one
about 5 years ago; I put in some memory - base+250 (=500Mb?), afair. I
would not think it much use as the screen is playing up. He tells me
it works in one position only and is dim elsewhere, so I guess it to be
one its way out, hence replacement. If that is no problem let me know.
