Since it's a download, there is no difference in cost to Adobe. Just the
old "gouge them for whatever you can, they'll pay it cos their British"
policy. No doubt there are justifications like "the high overheads of
maintaining a UK office" or some such weasel words.
(Oh dear, I'm starting to sound like David Kennedy!)
I'm pleased I don't have to pay the Adobe tax - thank those lovely
Bare-Boned people for their entirely reasonable charges for
TextWrangler.
It's all because of the odd variant of English used in the UK. If we spoke
proper English we'd understand the US version of the software and Adobe
wouldn't need to translate it into UK English, hence the extra cost.
