USB is fine for data recovery just a little slower than firewire but you
can't [AFAIK] boot from a USB disc.
Ok thanks. Can you get self powered 2.5" FW enclosures (I guess you
can).
yup got three here, from two nicer to a cheap nasty maplins? one
For data recovery there are a couple of people who frequent this NG who
can advise better.
Ok. Well I'll wait and see who pops up .. or Mr Mac user will have to
take it elsewhere .. (but he didn't know where that was round here and
how my mate came to get it (Nth London).
