Re: Shared drop folder for automated MS Word to PDF export

I want to help out some poor Windoze users on the network by setting up

What's the most efficient way?

I would imagine that it would be to have a Folder Action trigger an
AppleScript to convert the file. What version of Word are you running on
your Mac?

2004.

I was surprised to discover that there are Automator scripts available
for download which can do stuff with MS Office, since no such functions
seem to be built in. I doin't know how they do it, because these scripts
are run-only and can't bve examined.

I also discovered that Folder Actions can't trigger Automator workflows,
which seems a bit of an oversight.
