Yeah, just went through this as I retired the iBook with the original
Airport card (it's now an MP3-player in my office :-), so i could switch
over to WPA-only in the house.
Presumably you are hiding your SSID as the problem doesn't show up
otherwise. Be that as it may, what I did was to go to Network Prefs,
configure Airport and added my WPA settings to the preferred networks list
manually. I may have had the "automatically add new networks to the
preferred list" options ticked, in which case I only edited the settings and
re-entered the WPA key. After that the settings "stuck".
Thats what I was trying to do, but I didn't have a 'prefered network'
option. After I created a new location I did, and then that way worked.
Yes, I am hiding the ssid. I don't see the point of broadcasting it, as
I know what it is! It does cause a pain for windows XP though.
