The NG gives you IPSec. It's a bit of a bugger to set up but I have had it
inter-operate with various other routers including the Vigor.
Not sure if it will then allow the incoming connection to go back out to
the internet as if originating from our IP.
Yes it's possible though the config can be a little tricky. With IPSec, you
can't simply add a static route through the VPN - you have to specify what
networks are on each end of the tunnel when you define the VPN config.
If using a Vigor at the remote end, easiest thing is to tick the box that
says "change default route to use this VPN". Then all traffic will be routed
through the VPN (slowly) when it comes up.
