I'm thinking it's time to upgrade the TV here at the Russell
Hotel. I need HDMI for the PS3, proper 1080p, Freeview, 32" or
greater, under £1k. Oh, and it should work well with Apple TV in
case I ever get one (and to keep this on topic).
Currently I'm looking at the Toshiba Regza 37X3030D at around
£750, based purely on web-based research. Any recommendations from
people who have actually bought this or a similar TV recently
would be appreciated.

I bought one of the cheapo Relysis 35" that Woolworths stock(ed?) -
got it for the cheap price before they dropped the price instore. It
only does 1080i though, but at around £350 - that's not to be
sniffed at. :)
Are these flat screen thingies? I have an ancient telly I got in 95.
Heavy, been dropped, fire damaged, but still works. But it may be time
to move on as it is fugly and not nearly as big as these.
my folks tv is a old sony, don't rember if you watched any when down?
any way it's about 20 years old or so. which is problmatic as no scart
etc.
they are waiting for dgital though they will need something to do what a
video does. no sky (hill in way) nor cable (hill) so none of there magic
boxes. as VHS is getting rather stiff. might need to perswade them to
get a combix box. ie dvd/vhs.
