I've been thinking about getting one of these, being less and less
enchanted with the action of my Apple Keyboard. Couple of questions
since you have one. First, is there a caps lock light (I can't see one

No on both counts. I cannot say that the lack of a UK keyboard layout
bothers me at all. I have set up for a UK layout though so shift-3 gives me
the £ while option-3 gives me the #.

Easy Peasy!

I routinely switch between US and UK keyboards and between OS X, XP and
Ubuntu. The old Matias Pro was the same layout and I have used it for over a
year.
