I was going to use vmware but the dealer is going to throw in a free copy
of parallels with my Mac Pro so I thought I would try that first.
I like the look of the desktop-less integration of Windows apps provided
by Parallels and I don't have much use for GUI Linux apps.
I was going to use ssh/remote X windows to access the Linux apps anyway
so that I did not have to install any video drivers in the Linux setup.
Not the fastest way of doing things but simpler to set up.
Another reason to use VMware Fusion instead of Parallels - it supports
x86-64 Linux whereas Parallels is 32-bit only.

I know, and vmware supports exporting multi-core to the client too.
