I have a G3 iMac which I want to 'repatriate' home from the office.
Since it left, we have switched to Orange broadband and it's all
wireless upstairs now.
Have asked in a shop today who said an airport card can be had on ebay
(not at the moment, apparently, only 'adapters') but that they can also
be used with a USB wireless dongle thingy (technical term here).
has anyone got any experiences with these? Thanks.
USB adapters are horrible, flaky things in my experience.
Much better to get a WiFi to Ethernet bridge.
Thanks - had a look, they look quite pricey! Especially given the fact
that I originally only paid £80 for the iMac on ebay!
Got an unused Linksys wireless router like this one
<http://tinyurl.com/yqgplj>. Can this be made to work?
