FFS, why does everything have to be seen as a dig?
It doesn't. But we both knew what we were talking about.
So your comment was for whom then (sorry if I'm being especially slow
here).
You guys must live
in a pretty dry world if you can't make a comment without jumping to
(often the wrong) conclusion.
We live in far from a dry world. However, sometimes it is hard to tell
with the way you phrase something.
Only if you want to continue the thought that I'm a nasty person. You
know I have as much 'need' for a Mac as you have likings for PC's but
that doesn't mean I'm attacking anyone if make a pro PC comment (or
anti Mac one for that matter). Remember I have the right to be here as
I personally own at least Macs! <so there>
I believe I started the last rat thread
so why would I use that as a dig?
I didn't remember if you did or not
I did. OT: Rat bedding?
Internally it stores its tracks in non standard formats and exports as mp3s
(maybe also wav too). There is a tool available on the roland website
(trick being it is for the boss BR-900, but it works with the micro-br)
that lets you export (or import) any of the tracks (up to 32 virtual
tracks) as individual files (there is a mac and PC app - the mac one
exports as aiff, I assume the windows one exports as wav, I didn't try).
Ok .. ta ..
For googles reference:

Yeah, I knew there was something but just though that if it could
handle .mp3's directly etc it would have been about perfect.
Sounds like those things you only used to see in SiFi films ... are
you going to put voice recognition on it ... <over friendly American
voice on> "Hi Woody, have you had a nice day? You have 63 emails,
dinner will be ready in 22 mins, I've re-ordered the groceries used
today and I've turned your electric blanket on. Apple called and your
6 laptops are now repaired awaiting collection[1]. Oh, I've sacked the
Roomba".
That is text to speech!
Yeah, sorry I realised that after I'd posted it.
But yes, it does have speech recognition as it
is windows tabletXP, and it is built in.
Crikey.
But no, I don't like things talking. It can make noises when it needs to
tell me something.
Like R2D2? Then you can do yer C3PO bit and give it a thump and say "
Secret mission? What plans? What are you talking about? I'm not
getting in there!" ;-)
I have never actually had to deal with apple over a laptop (well, I did
once but only to write it off after I dropped it on a flagstone floor)
Ah, and most things don't bounce on that do they. My mate had a laptop
brought in for 'repair' where it had been thrown out of the car window
at some speed as the car rolled over a few times! It actually turned
out it was just flat (battery not profile) .. that and the road rash
etc .. ;-(
You get paid for doing that for them right? (don't bother answering
that).
Of course I get paid. My payment is the inland revenue people not coming
round :-)
Bargain!
All the best ..
