No. It is a new feature. I haven't seen it mentioned anywhere else
either.

I'm not sure which way to use it. I've got (for instance) the Reloaded album by Tom Jones, where every track is TJ singing with a different artist. Should "Album artist" be Tom Jones or the other artist?

What sort of hash is my 3G iPod going to make of it all?
