Hi folks,
Glad I read the post on the incompatibility of the BT Total Broadband
Router and Mac, as that was what I was about to go with!
I'm just about to move house and go from an NTL cablemodem (which I've
had for about 5 years now) to an ADSLMax equipped exchange.
Anyone got any good hints & tips or 'gotchas' to watch out for? Nildram
seem to be quite well recommended - any recommendations from the group?
Regards,
Kev
I've been with Demon now for almost 2 years, in that time I've not had
a single problem (apart from no newsgroup access, instead I'm stuck
with google groups).
of the best (non binary) newsgroup services.
Initially they seem a little pricy for what you get, but then I'm onEclipse do one, but they do cap between 6pm & 12pm, £15 caps you at 20gb
uncapped ADSL (due to be upgraded to 8Mb/s in the next few months),
having looked around for a better deal however, I'm finding it hard to
get an uncapped 8Mb/s tariff under £20 (if I was happy to take a 2GB
download cap I could save quite a bit of cash).
per month during those hours which I feel is reasonable (I'm not a fan
of capped services, particularly not the 2gb cap), outside those hours
you can download as much as you like.
