I love the elegance of the Mac in general, but the toolbox-like approach
of Eudora, and its almost infinitely customisable layout, are major
attractions for me. As for HTML display, it's as good as your browser.
If it isn't using something like WebKit to display text/html, then it
probably isn't anywhere near as good as your browser!
Eudora itself does a poor job of rendering HTML, but there's no reason
for someone using Eudora to settle for Eudora's display of HTML
messages; instead, you select "Open in browser" from the file menu and
Ah, I used to use a mail client like that. It became annoying :-(
Yes, of course I know that feature exists, but there are odd times when
it doesn't work (not at all on imported messages), and it's another step
in reading my messages.
the message is automatically opened in your default browser. So, with
Eudora, the HTML display is literally as good as your browser because it
is your browser.
Presumably it converts the HTML so that any references to other MIME
parts (eg images) get converted to references to temporary files? In
other words, does it display "MHTML"?
Eudora does very little with HTML, it can disply a little, but as soon
as there's even a simple table in there, it all gets screwed up.
