Is there a free and easy way to synchronise two folders on volume-mount?
I'd like to sync a folder on my USB key with the same on the Mac, every
time I plug in the key; and I make changes on both the Mac and the key.
No fuss, no mess, just plug in and it syncs without me having to
remember.
I know of free (roll your own Applescript or *** around with rsync and
other incantations) and I know of easy (using backup apps) and I know
that I could just try the barrowful of apps out there. But I'd like to
just get it going and forget about it. Actually, I'd pay a small fee for
this, but not full-featured backup-app prices [1] - say $10 max. And
personal recommendations are always good.
Ta,

[1] I'm still looking for a proper backup program, but that's going to
take a while to a) narrow down and b) find the time to dedicate to
narrowing it down. So for now, just a folder sync.
http://www.pure-mac.com/backup.html - Flash Comet any good?
It seems to automatically back up a USB key, but not sync with an
equivalent folder on the Mac, unless I misread the blurb.
