Oy ! Are you trying to spoil my birthday ?

Wouldn't dream of it - you share your birthday with one of my daughters.

She really loved the 2Gb Nano that she unwrapped this morning. We
thought it best that she opened that before her other presents so that
the battery gets a proper charge while she's at school.

Do children take iPods to school these days ? Makes me feel quite old.

Paul

yes. We took log tables and a tennis ball to play football with. They take
mobile phone plus camera for happy slappy fun, pus ipod for music and video.
They do not take pens and exercise books and text books to school. Peer
pressure prevented boys from either washing generally, or combing their hair
when i was at school. Today boys spend more time with personal grooming than
girls- gel is de rigeur. We called each other by nicknames. Today they have
to spend precious time in social kissing and social embraces to get to
lessons on time.
