I was looking to add the climatechange.net one as well, but when I
looked up the Mac forum, it seems that any WU's sent by a Mac are
rejected, as they don't support the platform!
What?
Further reading in the forum reveals they have very poor research into
this for their reasons. Only 2% of the computer world isn't worth
bothering with! Perhaps they need to look a bit harder (or maybe less
hard!). I looked on the SETI stats page, and they show 10 of the top 12
contributers are Mac PPC machines (in terms of actual work completed),
the top one is a Windows server (so I guess that's a bunch of machines
there). You have to get down to 17 before you see a XP box.
Unfortunately to reply to their forum would have meant setting up an
account, and I don't feel inclined to do so.
Can't say I blame you. However, as that project's run out of the Oxford
atmos. physics department, I feel a little bit of me die when you say
that.
It's (badly) funded by the BBC though.
