I may be turning into Peter Ceresole, but I can't see my webcam from
work.
Intel Mini, 1.5 GHz single core, 1GB RAM
OS 10.4.7, Safari Version 2.0.4 (419.3)
When I try to see what the cats are up to, I get an error message:
"The page ³EvoCam² attempted to load Java content, but Java is
unavailable or not installed."
Works as it should in Firefox.
I had the same problem with 10.4.6 - so it's not a 10.4.7 jobbie.
Actually, I'm not sure Safari on this Mini has ever been able to log in
to the cam.
Tried downloading the latest Java for intel from Apple (J2SE50Release4),
no change.
Any ideas?
Look for java preferences thingies. You'll probably have two lots, one for
1.4 and one for 1.5 - Pain in the arse to get runescape to run stable by
using 1.4. I had to find both sets of configurations and set them the
same, otherwise if it tries to use 1.3, it'll use 1.4 (correctly) and if
it finds 1.5 it uses that. Grr!
