Weird Safari download speeds
Dialup connection. Safari. OSX 10.3.9
If I Cmd-click on a bunch of links, so there are quite a few tabs
downloading pages, the connection dribbles along at 200 bytes per
second, or less. If I open a new web page so that it covers up the tabs
with their rotating progress wheely things, suddenly the connection
jumps to 2KB/sec. Repeatable.
Seems that more time is spent doing screen prettiness than actually
doing the job.
