Re: Bit of a sinking feeling about boot camp (rant - ish)

I'm just wondering if I'm the only person who views Apples BootCamp as a
less than encouraging direction for them to take.
If Macs will now boot into windows and run windows apps natively what
incentive is there for companies like Adobe and Quark to keep producing
OS X versions of their software?
Don;t think it will be an issue for photoshop or quark, but certainly
for some smaller less mac native applications.
However, I think it also works the other way. I took the blackbook in to
work yesterday to show it off, and one of the things I showed them was
parallels and virtue - pressing a key and the screens sliding from the
work application to the Mac desktop. They were very impressed.
Then I showed front row and photo booth and a few other things. The
comments were how good it was and that windows looked a bit dated!
