Once you get to multi-drive RAID wot do you use to backup? Tapes? Unless you
have a Autoloader it gets messy. RAID 10 or 50?

No RAID counts as backups, as you well know! Resilience, yes. Last
weeks deleted files, no.

For some types of backup operations, more hard drives in caddies (and
as RAID5 sets if you need) are still cheaper&quicker&reliabler than
tapes.

Probably even more so now than when I did the sums for work late last
year. 4Tb, without massive data turnover.
