If you were using Mail.app you need to tick the 'Send Windows Friendly'
button.
Oh, is that when it's useful? I'd never managed to break anything by
not ticking it, but then I only use actual email clients that
understand email. Rather than the AOL thing, or Outlook Distress.
Are there any other receiving clients that get confused if you don't
tick that box?
