You try doing it twice in a weekend when your stupid company sends you
back to portsmouth from SF on a friday and expects you to be back in on
monday. I was, but only in body.
Your company and mine... I interviewed a man in Fort Collins (just by
Denver) once. That was it. Fly out. Interview. Fly back. Had to do the
same in Las Vegas (more precisely at the nuclear test facility at
Mercury).
On the way back from the Mercury gig I was so tired that I left the
exposed film rolls and all my tickets and money on a bench in the
terminal in Detroit airport (don't ask...) The interviews were fine, I
recovered the film and all my money in time to get the flight. And I
created my own schedules- the thing I didn't intend was the deadlines
that made them necessary.
I was younger and tougher then. I really, really couldn't do it now. But
now I don't have to. WHOOPEE!
