Re: Mac Help

The computer was free and I got it from a marketing dept.. meaning I
have no disc :(

As Jon said, more details would be helpful. What model Mac? What
version OS? The more information the better.

Apple PowerMac1, 1 1. 1f4 Version OSX

When I boot it, it says:

OpenFirmware 3.1.1 (to continue booting, type "mac-boot", to shut down,
type, "shut-down")
When I type in mac-boot, a gray screen comes up and a folder with the
mac logo keeps switching from that to, "?"
Then the other gray screen comes up and the wheel keeps spinning.

I really don't want to have to get outside and buy something when it
could be a minor problem... especially because it's the first time
something like this has ever happened. I'm so confused.
