This is why saved state is good.
What sort of stupid software loses *all* open documents just due to a
crash? If I had thirty-odd windows open, I wouldn't feel at all secure
knowing that if my browser crashed (or I accidently hit cmd-Q when aiming
for cmd-W) I'd lose the lot.
Saved State. It's the way forward.
For Firefox, Sessionsaver is the extension I use. Saves each window,
tab and each tab's history too.
Doesn't get tested against crashing a lot, mind. Last time FF hung on
me was a screwed Java installation on Windows, last year sometime.
Sessionsaver picked up where it left off after I fixed Java.
Firefox bombs out on me at least once a day. And damn its slow on certain
sites that aren't on IE or Webkit.
