In it's guise as "iLink" i'd say Firewire's a roaring success. Well, on
every digital camcorder, pretty much.
Sorry, I meant as a computer connector.
How many people *who don't use Macs* connect up hard drives and stuff
using Firewire? Even before USB2, it was easier to find USB hard drives
than Firewire ones.
But yeah, it's done well on camcorders. Which can't take advantage of
the extra speed of FW800, can they?
