No idea how it got there, but it's bloody annoying and distracting.Possibly, worth a look round to see if you can find it.
Perhaps it will slip down eventually.
Would not dare to start! But then how could it get in there in the
first place... Would it be accessible if the camera was not in
'cleaning' mode? Looking again it is not *too* distracting, in fact. I
was just very cross yesterday.
More so, with the camera is sensor clean the mirror is flipped up so you
can access the sensor behind it, with the camera just 'off' the mirror
is down so you can clean the mirror and the focusing screen above. That
then just leaves the eyepiece as a culprit.
Me too ;)anything more. It only came to my attention because there was aWhich thread? I kill file so much in there.
discussion on rec.photo.digital.slr.systems, and I realised I had the
problem too, which I originally thought was on the lens. Doh.
It's called 'Problem with Canon Digital Rebel XT', a very recent one. I
joined in.
Crumbs I have been outside in anything that bright yet :-/It is visible at f/13, but you'd need to know it was there at f/10.Where the bloody hell have you been to get that much light?
Good point. <furtle> The test shots I did yesterday out of the window,
sunny morning and N/E ish facing, after the 2nd round of cleaning, were:
f/32 at 1/15, f/16 at 1/60, f/13 at 1/100, f/5.6 at 1/500.
I was out on the Sussex downs last week, about 10am, and got some atThink I'm going to have to do some test shots this weekend :-/
f/13, with 1/100 - 1/125 shutter mostly. Blobs showing there - groan -
but different ones which I have now cleaned off. So I might well use
f/13 or smaller, which is what makes the sensor blob(s) so annoying.
Seems nice, after the 28mm it is stunningly wide, its got a bit ofNow then, to the fun stuff - what lenses did you get?
Last week I bagged a Tokina 19-35 f3.5-4.5 for £70, which as Jessops
have a used one in the window for £130 and new ones are £150ish seemed a
good snap.
Hmm - sounds good.
barrel distortion @ 19mm, but for the price, I'm not complaining.
With the Sigmas yes. As the canons etc work on anything they hold theirThis weeks was the Sigma 28-70 f2.8, its the old model so won't work on
the newer bodies, but does the D30 & D60, hence £60.
Sounds like you can clean up on older models for less money then, nice
one.
value better. I actually gave up seaching on Sigmas specifically as so
many don't work even on the D30 so they too much of a lottery. But this
was from a seller on ebay I have on watch as he's local, and does know
which lenses will or won't work on the older cameras or not.
Both of them look like they've never been out the house, and came with
all the boxes etc. Be nice when I'm not stuck indoors in photography
weather as I've still never really got anywhere yet :-/
Pain, isn't it.
Indeed, oh well at least I'm gradually getting the kit so when the
weather does favour us I can go out.
