Airport bridging question

Could I use a 2nd Airport Extreme base station that has a built in
ethernet port to extend my wireless network? I have a server that'll be
running VMware ESX Server for test stuff and I don't want to put a
wireless network card into it. I also want to put it somewhere that I
can't run cables to. So if I get a 2nd Airport base station and use the
built in ethernet port (or a small switch connected to that port) to
connect the server and join the wireless base stations in a Wireless
Distribution Network )WDS) it'll work? How does a WDS network handle IP
addresses? Does it bridge so that I can use the 10.0.1.x addresses from
the first base station on stuff connected the 2nd base station, or does
it create a different subnet?

I've got the Apple Designing Airport Extreme networks doc to read but
thought I'd see if anyone else is doing something similar.
