When I click the link on the Channel 4 site, Safari saysWhat's that all about?Safari can't open "mms://edge.channel4.com/theitcrowd/episode1_c4web.wmv" because Mac OS X doesn't recognize Internet addresses starting with "mms:"It is some sort of protocol for streaming Windows Media files. On my machine Safari hands that URL off to Windows Media Player which eventually gets around to playing something.Eventually? From the original http target page, Firefox it puts up a warning about do I want to run the wmv file (sensible Firefox) and when I click OK then runs it in WMP. Rather nicely too.
Well, just the usual "Buggering..." delay really. It was probably only a few seconds or so.
Cheers,

Hmmm...clicked on the link on the Ch4 site & got the 'FF doesn't recognise mms...etc' popup. Copy/paste the link & change 'mms' to 'http' & I get a tab with the video playing.
Right-click the vid & get 'save video as..' (or similar). Save as a QT movie on the desktop & open QT. Play it & it stops at 2:42 (seems to still be playing but with white screen)....? Using QT 6.5.2
Back to web page & this time a copy/paste of the same (corrected) link does nothing! Quick spin with the 'throbber' and the Ch4 page stays the same - no new tab, no video (have got Flip4Mac)!!
