I'll grant that we have the ability to extinguish species, and generally
wreck the environment, but you'll have a hard time convincing me that
humans could survive on this earth all on their lonesome. So no, we're
all just a bunch of separate entities. Half that advantage, then.

Anything seems capable of leading people to believe terrorism is
justified. It just gets called something different if you're a big
powerful nation.

And polar bears are just as important as humans. As indeed, are Apple
Macintoshes. It only depends on context.
