I like to buck the trend. I mentioned this to Daniele while asking him
about USB ethernet - I'll argue from empirical evidence, and will stop
and agree that I was talking rubbish when someone demonstrates new
facts that counter previous evidence.

I can do that because I trained as a scientist, but have never been
paid to be one - so I don't have any ego invested in "my" facts.
They're not mine, they merely exist.

Being resolutely rational disturbs people. It's fun.
